Official Solo Mode for Live Servers: Start Your Solo Adventure

Source:lootwow

Sep-17-2024

Blizzard is introducing a solo mode in World of Warcraft’s live servers, allowing players to enjoy a single-player experience without needing to isolate themselves from other players or seek special rewards. With NPC support, players can access much of the game's content independently, making it an appealing option for solo players. Here’s what Blizzard had to say:

Solo Adventures in WoW

Following the release of Depths of the Earth, World of Warcraft introduces new ways for players to carve out their solo journey through its stories and challenges. Whether it’s dungeon followers or personal challenges, there are now more ways for solo players to experience WoW on their terms.

How to Start Your Solo Journey

For new players, the first mission in Azeroth is to complete the Exile’s Reach solo tutorial. This teaches new characters their essential skills and abilities before they embark on the grand adventure to become champions of Azeroth. At the end of this experience, players unlock their first dungeon, aided by NPC companions to help complete it.

Quick Steps to Begin Your Solo Adventure

  1. Get started: Set up your account, or download and install the Battle.net starter edition.

  2. Suggested leveling route: Start in Exile’s Reach (levels 1-10), progress through Dragonflight (levels 10-70), and then explore Depths of the Earth (levels 70-80).

  3. Minimize social interaction: If you'd like to reduce distractions from other players, you can leave chat channels using "/leave" followed by the channel name (general, trade, local defense, etc.).

  4. Block unnecessary invitations: In the game settings, you can disable guild or group invites. (Go to Options -> Social -> Check the boxes to block trades, guild invites, calendar invites, and chat invites.)

At level 10, you can continue Azeroth’s story in Dragonflight through solo play, undertaking campaigns and side quests while exploring the Dragon Isles. Dungeon missions can be completed with follower NPCs in normal difficulty dungeons.

Returning players or veterans creating new characters can choose to begin in Exile’s Reach or their race’s starting zone. After reaching level 10, players can either continue Dragonflight or speak with Chromie in the capital

city to begin a Timewalking campaign. However, for solo play, Dragonflight is highly recommended as it supports follower NPCs for dungeons.

This new solo mode caters to players looking to enjoy World of Warcraft at their own pace, with minimal social interruptions, while still being part of the grand Azerothian adventure.
